Blood, sweat... and three golden points

In a very complicated field and against one of the few undefeated teams after the first two games, Andorra achieved a very valuable victory thanks to a solitary goal by Lautaro. The tricolours had to fight and work very hard to get the three points in a field where it was very difficult to play and in front of an opponent who was very clear about how it had to do things.

The first half was full of fight, with both teams waiting to win the direct duels and the second balls but unable to show themselves dangerous enough near the goals. Tarazona has tried it on a couple of occasions with deflected shots and another one from Javi Martín saved by today's debutant Oier, while the tricolours have tried it in a good movement by Álvaro Martín and a quick transition ended by a Manu Nieto's header blocked by a defender.

Lauti's goal and concentration at the back

At the restart, Andorra came out ready to take a step forward, but the game hasn't changed much either: few options to make combinations both teams looking to do damage from lateral crosses and balls direct to the area. And that's how the decisive goal arrived: just a minute after Ferran Costa shook up the team with a triple substitution, Lautaro, one of those who had just entered, took advantage of a cross from Clemente to open the scoreboard (60').

From there, the tricolours knew that they had done the most difficult thing and that it was necessary to defend the advantage with tooth and nail. And the team has done it: already with three centre-backs on the pitch, the Principality players have rejected almost all the balls that the locals have send to the box. Of course, Tarazona enjoyed a clear opportunity to equalize, but Llácer's shot went over the crossbar.
